Big data is a strategic emerging industry supported by the state, and the specialty of Big Data Technology and Application is an emerging “Internet +” specialty, with broad employment prospects. This specialty is mainly to train compound technical talents for the socialist modernization construction, who have a sense of social responsibility and professionalism, standard awareness and innovative thinking, enterprising willingness and cooperation ability, have the ability to apply information technology, and can engage in big data system operation and maintenance management, application development and other positions.

We implement a talent training model combining work and learning with “professional leadership, skill integration, and ability advancement”, develop new forms of teaching materials, create “five-dynamics” classrooms, and build a high-level shared training base with companies such as H3C, Dt Dream, etc. Cooperating with the 1+X Artificial Intelligence Big Data Training and Certification Center, using the “Yangtze River Delta Artificial Intelligence Industry and Education Alliance” as a platform, we vigorously cultivate innovative talents urgently needed by the industry, empowering enterprises with big data technology and promoting the industry upgrade of the Yangtze River Delta.

In-depth Cooperative Enterprises

We and H3C jointly established the “1+X Artificial Intelligence Big Data Training and Certification Center” to create a simulation training plat for 1+X training, which is open to school students, students from the society and other groups to carry out certificate training and verification on big data platform operation and maintenance and application development and other aspects. In accordance with certificate verification standards and corporate requirements, compile textbooks related to 1+X training certification, optimize curriculum settings and teaching content, integrate certificate content into professional curriculum systems, and create a new pattern of talent training driven by academic certificates and vocational skills certificates.

This major and Dt Dream jointly established the “NJCIT - Dt Dream Big Data Application College” to jointly develop talents in a modern apprenticeship system and form a “dual-subject” education mechanism. “NJCIT - Dt Dream Big Data Application College” meets the needs of enterprises, integrates the school's training base with the company's workplace, establishes a corporate working environment related to big data technology, and introduces corporate technical specifications, work requirements and assessments. Based on the inheritance of professional quality and the training of professional skills, enterprise engineers will guide students in related majors to carry out internship exercises, and the students’ practical activities and professional quality will be assessed and verified to guide students to develop good professionalism and work spirit.
